INSCYD Power Performance Decoder remote testing
As used by world leading athletes and teams, we are pleased to be able to offer INSCYD remote testing to our clients.
What is INSCYD?
Using a series of short max tests, the INSCYD Power Performance Decoder test uses software determines your training thresholds so that you can target your training more accurately and successfully.
It takes the guess work out of your training and by using shorter tests than the traditional 20 minute or 1 hour FTP test, it is less time consuming to do and more accurate.
The worlds best athletes and coaches use INSCYD to plan, manage and monitor the training of their athletes - and now you can too.
The test has the advantage over lab tests in that you can do it alone with no supervision needed - an especially important factor at the moment.
If you don't test, you won't know where you are, and if you don't know where you are, you won't know what or how to improve.
What will it tell me?
It will tell you all of these important metrics;
How often should I take the test?
After your initial test, we will give you a 6 week training program to follow. You can re-take the test after this 6 week period, or you can continue training and take it at a later date. We would recommend that you take a test at the start and end of a training block so that you can see the improvements and learn how you are responding to the training.
What do I need?
You either need a power meter or a smart trainer, or both. The tests are maximum effort tests so we would recommend that they are done on a trainer so as to be easily repeatable but there is no reason why you can't use the same stretch of road in the same conditions to repeat the tests.
How do I do the tests?
It's simple! You go and perform a series of max efforts over, 20 seconds, 3 minutes, 6 minutes and 12 minutes and send us the resulting workout files. These can be done on the same ride, same day or over a 3 day period. Once we receive the files, we analyse the sessions using the INSCYD software and produce a report. We will then go through the report with you set you a 6 week training plan to work on your identified development areas.
What does the test cost?
The tests cost £160 and include the option of a 6 week training program to really get you ahead of the competition and make the most of the new data available to you.
