Changing an inner tube, replacing brake blocks, removing and refitting wheels and washing the bike are all skills that are taken for granted by most experienced riders.  

A basic mechanical skills session will equip you with the knowledge that should you suffer a minor mechanical whilst riding, it doesnt mean the end of your ride.  Topics covered include changing an inner tube, basic safety checks, repairing a chain on the road and what tools and spares to carry on a ride, plus anything else you wish to learn, time permitting.
